Kristin Fisher has joined CNN in July 2021, as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her position as the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she is responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the rise and development of space tourism. Being the daughter of two NASA astronauts, Kristin has a background in the industry of space. She spent the last five years covering the Trump and Biden Administration's space policies as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. In that period, Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump and the 2020 presidential election and efforts by two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. The reporter also traveled extensively with the president and vice president as well as a secret visit to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Before joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through local TV news markets including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Utilizing her expertise behind the camera, Kristin created Field Mouse Films in 2014, which focused on making documentary-style movies for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University. She is married to her husband at Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
